Incredible $30 Cartography Humble Bundle Is a Online Gaming GM's Dream

Following a short availability back in April, this cartography software collection is back for a limited time available until Dec. 2. Described as an extensive collection of mapping tools created by a specialized software company over the years, the complete package carries a value of over $1,300. And there are three different bundles offered in this deal.

The Main Attraction

The standout feature is certainly permanent access to the CC3+ software, a professional-grade cartography program which enables users to create everything from epic fantasy landscapes, detailed regional charts, urban layouts, and most notably, tactical combat environments.

Package Levels

Basic Package

The cheapest bundle tier, at a minimum cost of $1, includes only four of the 39 total items: Symbol Set 1: Fantasy Overland, Monster Token Pack 1, Castle Source Maps, and Source Maps: Cities!. This package suits existing CC3+ users, yet it provides new fantasy symbol styles for overworld maps, over seven hundred fifty creature tokens for use in virtual tabletops, more than two dozen top-down castle layouts including hundreds of map markers, eight fully mapped cities, and more than 70 urban floorplans.

Intermediate Package

The eight-product collection for at least $15 is where things get more interesting through inclusion of a lifetime CC3+ license, Cartographer's Annual Vol 1, Tome of Ultimate Mapping, Isometric Cities Symbol Pack. Cartographer's Annual is the annual collection from the company's long-running monthly subscription service featuring a variety CC3+ add-ons including map packs and various other tools. Isometric Cities lets you display cities with an extra dimension with isometric views from all sides. Meanwhile, the Mapping Tome comprises 760 pages suitable for novices and experts, packed with guidance and instructions for the map-making process.

Every volume from the Annual series come with this bundle, alongside a slew of additional tools and content that can help users craft complete solar systems, or just go all-in on classic fantasy realm creation: battle maps, dungeons, cities, and continents from almost any perspective. You can even design character portraits. For $30 as opposed to $15, the complete collection is so worth it, particularly for mappers who have only the annual CC3+ license and want to upgrade to lifetime. However, it's clearly an even better deal for map-making newbies since it includes introductory guides to facilitate learning. The one caveat here though you can redeem the deal across platforms, the applications only function on Windows.

Philanthropic Aspect

As with other Humble Bundles, a portion of each sale supports charitable organizations. For this one, that's Save the Children, established in 1919 by Eglantyne Jebb focused on improving the lives of children worldwide via educational programs, medical services, and crisis response.
