'It's like they never miss a pass': The Swans' Ethan Galbraith resumes contest with Pep's side.

Ethan Galbraith breaks into a smile as he remembers the dramatic dying seconds of his team's remarkable turnaround triumph against Nottingham Forest in the League Cup. The encounter wrapped up with Galbraith picking up a spectator's eyewear after the on-field celebration.

With the clock ticking into the 97th minute, Galbraith struck the post with a speculative shot from distance, and Cameron Burgess immediately converted the deflection before charging toward the East Stand to celebrate, with the crowd congregating around the players.

Stunning Reversal

The result capped an unbelievable recovery given Swansea had found themselves down 2-0 deep into the latter period. In the delirium, there was some minor mishaps. Galbraith explained, "There was a fan trying to get our attention and we were puzzled: 'What's he on about here?' Then we spotted the glasses. It was a funny incident putting them on. We are on the pitch as athletes but we're people, too, so to have a bit of craic with the fans is always good."

Premier League Giants

The result secured a upcoming match at home against Pep Guardiola's side on Wednesday, a club Galbraith pushed hard at the comparable phase of the FA Cup with the London side in February. The athletic midfielder had an excellent perspective when Orient took the lead in stunning style, with the attacker's first-time shot from about way out going in via the woodwork and the Stefan Ortega. Many argued that it was credited as an own goal.

"You would have hoped they would've awarded it to him for taking the effort on from that range," stated Galbraith, who played in the middle before moving to right defensive wing after they changed shape. That meant competing with the England international, with whom he exchanged jerseys, and the attacker was among the City players who praised the way his former team attacked the game.

Guardiola's System

"Athletically they are exceptional but even the fundamentals and simple things, they can just do it over and over again," Galbraith says. "It seems as if they always find their target and they are adept at dictate and take the sting out of a game. You can feel you're holding your own and then suddenly they will just fizz a pass between defenders without you even seeing. You have to be alert every second of the game. It takes a tough attitude and attention just to keep pace."

Swansea Move

The Welsh side sought to acquire Galbraith in January and secured his signature to secure him in the summer in a seven-figure transfer. He became a favorite as a fans' favourite across two seasons at Orient and has swiftly achieved similar status in Wales. At Orient he linked up again with his former manager, who four years ago gave Galbraith his debut prolonged spell in senior football on loan at Doncaster from United. Then came a spell at fourth-tier Salford City, before he moved on from Manchester United.

Growth Journey

"I was likely a slightly green going into professional soccer. I think numerous professionals would say youth team games is completely distinct. Sometimes it appears play is circulated without serious challenge. You see few hard challenges. Once you start playing first-team football you have to adapt rapidly."

International Recognition

He has demonstrated that growth for club and country, shining for the Green and White Army, who could still reach the international competition next summer via the playoffs and for whom he has featured in the recent fixtures, including two matches games against a football powerhouse. His former international manager, Galbraith's ex- international manager, paid him the ultimate compliment, saying he was Northern Ireland's "little Iniesta or Xavi" given how he controls possession and his knack for a killer pass.

Starting Out

This marks quite the ride for the kid from the Queens Park estate in Glengormley, just outside the capital, who was raised observing his dad, the elder Galbraith, also a midfielder, play for Ballyclare Comrades.

Red Devils Debut

His single match for Manchester United came in the away trip in 2019, a continental tournament trip to the host city, where they featured on an plastic turf and the stadium roof was shut owing to the weather of bitter cold. "This represented a long trip and it was cold out there," he comments, smiling. "The preceding week, several youth players and I practiced as a group, so that aided our adjustment. Just to join the main group and make an appearance at the end was amazing."

Leaving United

How difficult was it to depart Manchester United, the club he joined from Linfield aged his mid-teens? "The decision proved quite easy, because I arrived at the moment where I knew I wasn't going to make it at the senior squad. I'm hugely grateful for the years at the club but it became apparent where I thought I required a fresh start, join a smaller club and play first-team games. Now I'm slowly progressing again."

Life in Swansea

It is mid-afternoon at the team's practice facility but Galbraith has an appointment at late afternoon: a driving theory test, another step towards getting on the road. Until recently to the local area, the 24-year-old was a constant rider in Swansea's nicknamed player transport, a team vehicle driven by academy staff, the transport team, which ferries players to and from practice and games.

"I travel with a teammate, the Brazilian, the midfielder – the Swedish defender used to be in it but has started driving. It's pleasant to interact with the teammates but I'm planning to be the following person out of the minibus and on the road. Franco is known for his humor; he's frequently playing tricks."

Public Engagement

While playing for Orient, Galbraith would travel alongside fans on London's Central line after beginning his trip at the area he lived in. "I tried|I attempted|My aim
